Privacy Policy

Seekiee (“the Service”) is an AI job-search assistant operated by Darkiee (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and the controls you have over it. It applies to the hosted service at seekiee.darkiee.com. The open-source Seekiee CLI runs entirely on your own machine and is not covered by this policy — we never see data you process with it.

What we collect

  • Account data. When you sign up (via Google, GitHub, or email through our authentication provider Clerk) we store your name, email address, and a unique account identifier.
  • Career data you provide. Your CV text, profile details (location, target roles, compensation targets, links you add such as LinkedIn or portfolio), job postings you submit for evaluation, applications you track, contacts you save for outreach, interview stories, and notes. This is the core of the Service — it exists so the product can work for you, and for no other purpose.
  • Generated content. Evaluation reports, tailored CVs, drafts, and other documents the Service generates for you.
  • Usage and billing data. AI credit usage (which feature ran and when, with token counts), subscription state, and payment status. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details — payment instruments are handled entirely by Razorpay.
  • Technical data. Standard server logs and error diagnostics (via Sentry) used to keep the Service reliable.

How we use it

  • To provide the Service: scoring jobs against your CV, generating documents, scanning portals, tracking applications.
  • To enforce fair-use limits (AI credits) and operate billing.
  • To send transactional email (account approval, scan digests, follow-up reminders, billing notices). Digest and reminder emails have individual opt-outs in Settings → Notifications.
  • To diagnose and fix errors.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or train AI models on it.

AI processing

When you run an AI feature (a job evaluation, CV tailoring, an outreach draft, and similar), the relevant content — typically your CV text, profile context, and the job posting — is sent to a third-party AI model provider (such as Anthropic or Google) to generate the result. We send only what the feature needs, over encrypted connections, under the provider’s API terms (which prohibit training on API data for the providers we use by default). Portal scanning and application tracking do not use AI and stay entirely within our infrastructure.

Who processes data on our behalf

  • Clerk — authentication and session management.
  • Razorpay — payment processing (they are the payment data controller for your payment instruments).
  • AI model providers (e.g. Anthropic, Google) — generation requests as described above.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Sentry — error monitoring.
  • Our hosting and database providers — the Service and its Postgres database run on cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest.

Retention and deletion

  • Your data is retained while your account is active.
  • Items you delete in the app move to Deleted Items and are purged automatically after 30 days (or immediately if you empty the trash).
  • You can export everything (profile, CV, reports, applications, follow-ups, interview prep) as a single JSON file from Settings → Account, at any time.
  • You can delete your account from Settings → Account. This permanently removes your account and personal data from our systems, including your authentication record at Clerk. Payment records required for tax and accounting law are retained by Razorpay and in our billing ledger for the legally required period.

Cookies

We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in (set by Clerk) and to remember your theme preference. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the EU/UK GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, and erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent. The export and delete controls in Settings cover the common cases instantly; for anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

All traffic is encrypted with TLS. Data is stored in an access-controlled database with encryption at rest. API keys and other secrets are stored encrypted. Access to production systems is limited to the operator.

Children

The Service is not directed at children and requires users to be at least 18 years old.

Changes

We will update this policy as the Service evolves and change the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
